Our Curriculum

Our curriculum is crafted to foster the holistic development of each child. Rooted in the principles of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), our approach combines a play-based and experimental learning environment with knowledgeable pedagogy.

Our intent is clear: to create a stimulating and inclusive atmosphere that supports children's curiosity, confidence and competence.

Intent: fostering curiosity and inclusion

Our nursery's curriculum is designed with a clear intent: to create a learning environment that nurtures children's curiosity, confidence, and competence. This is achieved through an engaging and inclusive curriculum inspired by the seven areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). Collaboration with parents and a commitment to an enriching curriculum form the foundation for our educational approach.

Impact: fostering lifelong learners

The impact of our curriculum is carefully monitored through observations and our educational software, ‘Blossom’. Regular assessments and childrens progress, across all seven areas of the EYFS curriculum, are shared with parents / carers. Our goal is to cultivate confident, competent, and empathetic lifelong learners who are not only academically prepared but also possess essential life skills.

Implementation: a foundation for progress

Our curriculum is guided by the EYFS Framework, emphasising the principles: The Unique Child, Positive Relationships, Enabling Environments, and Learning and Development. Laying the foundation for further learning.

Prime Areas of Learning: building foundations

As children progress through the Prime Areas of Learning: Personal, Social and Emotional Development, Communication and Language and Physical Development, they naturally develop skills and interests in the specific areas of: Literacy, Mathematics, Understanding the World, and Expressive Arts and Design. Our team, through collaborative planning and individualised attention, ensures a meaningful learning experience for each child

Embracing Nature for Holistic Wellbeing

Recognising the positive impact of nature on wellbeing, we integrate nature-based activities into our curriculum. This holistic approach, coupled with a supportive and dedicated staff, creates an environment where children thrive academically and develop crucial skills for their ongoing journey.
